Privacy Policy

1. Information PackFit collects

PackFit may collect the following information when you create an account or use the application:

• Account information provided through the authentication service, such as your email address and account identifier.
• Product, packaging inventory, packaging-plan, order, and settings data that you enter or save in PackFit.
• When you connect Etsy, the shop identity and listing data you authorize PackFit to read, including listing titles, descriptions, quantities, dimensions, weight, source URLs, and Etsy update timestamps when available.
• Technical and security information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request timestamps, error details, and limited application logs. PackFit is designed not to place OAuth access or refresh tokens in browser-accessible storage.

2. How information is used

PackFit uses information to:

• Authenticate users and keep each user's records separate.
• Import and synchronize seller-authorized Etsy listings into a private PackFit product catalog.
• Classify shipping risks and generate packaging, inventory, dimensional-weight, and purchase recommendations.
• Provide shipping-rate and order workflows when those features are used.
• Diagnose errors, prevent misuse, and improve reliability and usability.

3. AI-assisted analysis

PackFit uses an AI service provider to analyze packaging-relevant product information. Depending on the workflow, this may include a product name, description, category, dimensions, weight, and seller-confirmed handling traits. PackFit uses the returned analysis to generate a recommendation for the requesting user. Do not enter personal information that is unrelated to the product or packaging decision.

4. Etsy connection data

Etsy authorization is read-only for shop and listing information. OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted before they are stored by PackFit. Disconnecting Etsy removes the saved connection and its tokens. Products previously imported into PackFit may remain in your catalog until you delete them, but they will no longer synchronize while the shop is disconnected.

5. Service providers and disclosure

PackFit relies on service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, AI-assisted analysis, and shipping integrations. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to deliver the requested feature, secure the service, or comply with law. PackFit does not currently sell seller, shop, listing, or packaging data and does not currently use that data for advertising targeting.

6. Retention and deletion

PackFit retains account and application data while it is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. You can delete products, packages, orders, and saved plans through the available application controls. You can also disconnect Etsy at any time. You can permanently delete your PackFit account and user-owned application data from Settings. For another privacy request, contact PackFit support.

7. Security

PackFit uses access controls, user-scoped database policies, encrypted Etsy tokens, and server-side OAuth handling intended to protect user data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please report a suspected security or privacy issue promptly.

8. Your choices

• You may use PackFit without connecting Etsy.
• You may disconnect Etsy from the Sales Channels page.
• You may delete imported products independently.
• You may permanently delete your PackFit account and user-owned application data from Settings.
• You may request access, correction, or another privacy action by contacting support.
