Privacy Policy

1. Information PackFit collects

PackFit may collect the following information when you create an account or use the application:

• Google sign-in is handled through Supabase authentication. PackFit uses your account identifier, email address, and available profile metadata, such as your display name, to identify your account. This does not give PackFit access to unrelated Google account content.
• Product information, handling answers, folded or prepared measurements, package inventory, packaging plans, current-package details and assessments, and settings that you enter or save in PackFit are stored in Supabase.
• When you connect Etsy, the shop identity and listing data you authorize PackFit to read: Etsy account, shop, and listing identifiers; shop name; listing titles, descriptions, quantities, dimensions, weight, source URLs, update timestamps, and listing type used to determine whether a listing can be imported as a physical Product, when available.
• Technical and security information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request timestamps, error details, and limited application logs, plus AI and shipping-rate usage records used for service limits and cost controls. These are operational records, not advertising analytics. Etsy access and refresh tokens are handled server-side rather than placed in browser-accessible storage.

2. How information is used

PackFit uses information to:

• Authenticate users and keep each user's records separate.
• Import and synchronize seller-authorized Etsy listings into a private PackFit product catalog.
• Classify shipping risks and generate packaging, inventory, dimensional-weight, and purchase recommendations.
• Request shipping-rate quotes when you use Shipping Rates.
• Diagnose errors, prevent misuse, and improve reliability and usability.

3. AI-assisted analysis

PackFit sends selected product information to OpenAI for AI-assisted interpretation: name, description, category, dimensions, weight, folded dimensions where applicable, and seller-confirmed shipping-risk signals. Additional consistency checks may compare selected pairs of name, category, and description fields.

AI analysis assists interpretation and suggestions; PackFit also uses deterministic packaging logic and seller-confirmed facts to evaluate packaging. Do not enter personal information unrelated to the product or packaging decision.

4. Etsy connection data

Etsy authorization uses read-only shop and listing permissions (shops_r and listings_r). PackFit stores encrypted OAuth access and refresh tokens, expiry and scope information, connection status and timestamps, and the terms version and acceptance time. The current integration does not import buyer emails, buyer shipping addresses, receipts, transactions, payment information, or listing images.

Disconnecting Etsy removes PackFit's saved connection, tokens, and pending authorization state. It does not delete data on Etsy or automatically delete imported PackFit products. Imported products remain until you delete them and do not synchronize while the shop is disconnected.

5. Service providers and disclosure

Shipping Rates sends quote information to Shippo: sender and recipient names when supplied (otherwise quote placeholders), optional street addresses, city, state, ZIP, country, destination residential status, confirmed exterior parcel dimensions, and packed shipment weight. Shippo returns available carrier rate quotes; it does not determine PackFit packaging recommendations.

PackFit relies on service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, AI-assisted analysis, and shipping integrations. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to deliver the requested feature, secure the service, or comply with law. PackFit does not currently sell seller, shop, listing, or packaging data and does not currently use that data for advertising targeting.

6. Retention and deletion

PackFit retains account and application data while it is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. You can delete products from Products and package definitions from Package Inventory. Deleting a product also removes its linked saved plan and packaging records. There are no separate seller controls for deleting individual saved plans or legacy orders; PackFit no longer provides order management.

You can delete your account from Settings. This deletes your Supabase authentication account and linked PackFit application records, including products, packages, plans, settings, Etsy connections, legacy orders, and user-linked analysis and rate records. The application clears PackFit drafts and cached results in the current browser tab and attempts to clear its local sign-in session. This does not promise immediate removal from infrastructure backups or third-party provider logs. Contact support for other privacy requests.

7. Security

PackFit uses access controls, user-scoped database policies, encrypted Etsy tokens, and server-side OAuth handling intended to protect user data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please report a suspected security or privacy issue promptly.

8. Your choices

• You may use PackFit without connecting Etsy.
• You may disconnect Etsy from the Etsy connection page.
• You may delete imported products independently.
• You may permanently delete your PackFit account and user-owned application data from Settings.
• You may request access, correction, or another privacy action by contacting support.

10. Functional browser storage

PackFit uses authentication cookies and sign-in state to keep you signed in. Tab-scoped session storage holds unfinished forms and cached PackFit results, including entered shipping addresses, parcel details, and recent rate results. This functional storage lets you return to your work within the tab. Signing out clears PackFit client state in that tab. PackFit does not use this storage for advertising tracking.
